You can take a screenshot or record a video, but you should know that the app will tell the poster if you do this, so you may want to check with them first. This is what official YouTube guides writes:

YouTube engagement metrics (views, likes, dislikes, and subscriptions) reflect how many times a video or channel has been interacted with. These metrics can be an important measure of your video or channel’s overall popularity.

We want to make sure that your metrics are high quality and come from actual humans and not computer programs. It takes our systems some time to figure out which views, likes, dislikes, and subscriptions are legitimate.

Note: It may take time for your metrics to appear in our system during the first few hours your video is published.

Of course, from the YouTube side, it is super important to track only real, not fake views.

If you check YouTube views in different YouTube platforms - e.g. YouTube.com, YouTube Studio, YouTube real-time analytics - the number can be different.

How YouTube counts views?

Probably, only YouTube engineers can tell you the answer. There are different approaches.

Some articles say that a YouTube view is only counted when:

1. A user intentionally initiates the watching of a video.
2. The user watches it on the platform for at least 30 seconds.

If you skip through a video but the total time you spend watching is more than 30 seconds, the view will count too. If you watch for less than 30 seconds, it probably won’t.

Also, if you watch same video more than 5 times per day - these views will stop counting.

YouTube won't count views

• YouTube won’t count a watch from a user who leaves spam comments on videos.
• YouTube will not count the views of videos that are embedded in a page and autostart.
• If there are patterns of a bot behaviour.

Even for YouTube it is quite hard to completely distinguish human and bot views. Therefore, in Analytics you will see "Estimated views". Your real views number will be available only when AdSense sends a payment, adjusted to the non-fake views.

To see my YouTube views, I use Analytics in YouTube studio app.

Note that views on the live website can be different from internal views.

Internal counter usually shows the real number, while number of views on youtube.com can be a bit delayed. This is especially true for videos with a lot of views.

Do playlist views count on YouTube?

So if a video is watched inside of a playlist it is still a normal view on YouTube.

If someone specifically watched your playlist - that will count as a playlist view.

Playlist views are separate metric and don't count as normal YouTube views.

How many views do you need for a YouTube Partner Program?

You need 4000 watched hours during last 12 months.

So, it depends what is your average view duration is. A good ratio can be around 3 minutes of watched content for 1 view.

How YouTube shorts views are counted?

You see views from YouTube shorts in the same Analytics tab as regular views. Just you will see that source is different.

Also, views from YouTube shorts don't count towards YPP eligibility.

Can you filter YouTube views?

Is there a way to not count specific views? For example, you don't want YouTube to count views from yourself or from a specific IP. I don't think it is possible at the moment. You can do this setup in Google Analytics, but not YouTube.

Other social media

Here is an overview of what is considered a view on other social networks.

• Facebook: 3 seconds or more
• Instagram / IGTV: 3 seconds or more
• LinkedIn: 2 seconds or more
• YouTube: 30 seconds or more
• Tiktok: 0.1 seconds i.e. each time a video starts
• Twitter: 2 seconds

As you can see, YouTube has one of the strictest policies regarding views.

SocialBlade is one of the best tools to count YouTube views - both for your channel or other channels. It gives a pretty accurate estimate of views and revenue for all YouTube channels.

How important are YouTube views?

But, does it really matter how many views you get? Of course, it is absolutely amazing to have millions of views.

For example, to get your video boosted in YouTube algorithm, YouTube watch time matters more.

It is all about high-quality, highly-engaged, legitimate views with a long watch time. You should optimize your content for that.

A YouTube disclaimer is a statement placed usually in the video’s description that helps reduce legal liabilities or provide protection for original content.

When do you need a disclaimer on YouTube?

You might need a disclaimer on YouTube, if:

• your provide some advice;
• your video features other people's intellectual property;
• your video features your own copyrighted materials.

• YouTube fair use disclaimer
• YouTube disclaimer for music
• YouTube liability disclaimer

Why you need a YouTube disclaimer?

A YouTube disclaimer can help protect you and your content. YouTube original work copyright disclaimers can discourage others from using your work without permission.

If your video borrows someone’s copyrighted content for fair use purposes, a YouTube fair use disclaimer can help protect you from copyright infringement claims.

A YouTube liability disclaimer can also protect you from lawsuits that may arise from the use of any product, service, or advice you provide in your video.

Examples of YouTube disclaimers

If you have copyright issued for your own content in the video then you can simply write:

“Copyright @ {name and year}. Any reproduction or illegal distribution of the content in any form will result in immediate action against the person concerned.”

In case you are using someone else's content, here is an example of a fair use YouTube disclaimer.

“All the videos, songs, images, and graphics used in the video belong to their respective owners and I or this channel does not claim any right over them.

Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing.”

Or alternatively:

"This channel and I do not claim any right over any of the graphics, images, songs used in this video. All rights reserved to the respective copyright owners."

Be careful with YouTube fair use disclaimer. Ideally, you'd need to get a permit from the rights holder. Copyright disclaimers sometimes can be useless. They can't substitute a permit. And if you got caught by content owners, you would be admitting that you're aware of having violated their copyright, still, you're utterly indifferent to their opinion on the fact you should get permission. Which, ethically speaking, is worse than "accidentally" violating someone's copyright.

Getting permission to use copyrighted materials from the copyright’s owner is the safest way to use someone else’s intellectual property.

Fair use disclaimer

Imagine you are a YouTube blogger and creating a video-review of other YouTube content.

According to the 107th section of the Copyright Act - you can do that on YouTube if you are commenting, criticizing or some other purposes with that video.

Section 107 of the Copyright Act states that copyrighted materials can be fairly used for the following purposes:

• Criticism
• Comment
• Reporting
• Teaching
• Research and scholarship

If you use copyrighted materials for any of the above purposes, you should post a copyright disclaimer or a fair use disclaimer that states that you’re sampling copyrighted works under the protection of Section 107 of the Copyright Act.

Having this disclaimer can help you combat a copyright infringement complaint. So, if you had that included in your video, it can be easier to appeal if there is a copyright strike.

YouTube copyright disclaimer for Music

If you post music online that you own the copyright to, add a music copyright disclaimer to the music’s description or listing.

Music copyrights are unique, because sound recording copyright is designated by the phonogram copyright (℗), while lyrics and composition can still be designated by a standard copyright symbol (©).

If you have music that’s protected by sound recording copyright, standard copyright, or both, add the relevant symbol and copyright date and owner to the music’s listing or description.

Again, it is still best to only use music on YouTube, which has a creative commons license or is copyright free or get a permission from a music creator.

The most common place to include a YouTube disclaimer is a description of YouTube video.

About page

You can include a general disclaimer in your About page on YouTube channel.

First few seconds of the video

You can include a disclaimer when your video starts. Just create a screen with a legal text.

Your website

Of course, you can also have a dedicated page on your website with a YouTube disclaimer. And the link to this page from YouTube.

I have tried polls with my YouTube channel mrhackio (btw, you are welcome to subscribe :)) - and the results are incredible.

YouTube polls engagement

Besides regular videos and Shorts, YouTube polls probably have one of the highest engagement ratios.

If I post a text post via YouTube - it might get let's say 3 likes. But, a poll on the same topic can get 300+ replies.

For some reason, YouTube users like polls.

Look at this. I have ~10K subs. My random question "Is #Dispo app cool" - has 291 votes, 14 likes 4 comments. That's quite an engagement!

Or this poll about Clubhouse - 336 votes.

And the compare this with a simple text post - only 4 likes.

Which polls can you create in YouTube?

There are different types of polls, which can be created in YouTube:

• polls from a Community tab;
• polls in live chats, during live streams or Premieres.

YouTube polls eligibility requirements

You won't have the ability to create YouTube polls right from the start of your channel. There are some requirements.

YouTube polls via Community tab:

• 1000 subscribers - Creators with over 1,000 subscribers have access to Community posts. It will take up to 1 week to see the Community tab after passing 1,000 subscribers.
• Your channel should't be set for kids. Read more.
• You shouldn't manage YouTube via a Supervised account. Read more.

These are the requirements for a Community tab, inside which you should be able to create polls.

YouTube live polls:

• Ability to host live streams or Premieres - i.e. you need to have over 1000 subscribers

How to create a poll via Community tab?

1. In studio.youtube.com go to Create in the top right.
2. Click Create post.
3. In the Community tab click Poll icon.

4. Add poll questions and options. There can be up to 5 poll options, up to 65 characters each.

5. Click Post - to post now. Or click on the arrow to schedule polls in future.

It is also possible to schedule YouTube polls. Instead of post button just press Schedule.

You will see all your scheduled content (polls, videos, images) in a separate tab.

Did you know that it is possible to change visibility of YouTube polls.

In the top right of your Community tab click on Visibility.

• Public - anyone can see your posts or polls
• All channel members

How to create polls in YouTube mobile app?

1. Open YouTube app.
2. Tap plus icon in the bottom.
3. Create post or poll.

YouTube live polls

Now let's take a look at another type of polls in YouTube - polls during live streams or premieres.

How to create YouTube live polls?

Live polls on YouTube work similarly to polls on other platforms like Twitch.

The first step to doing so is to look at the bottom of the chat on your YouTube channel and select the icon for creating a poll.

Channel owners can create and manage live polls on their streams and Premieres. Once someone votes, they cannot change it.

1. Schedule or start a live stream or a Premiere.
2. From the bottom of the chat window, tap Create a poll
3. Create your poll, and then select Ask your community.

Once you’ve gotten as many responses as you’d like, you can finish the poll by clicking “end poll.” This option will be visible at the top of your chat.

Polls can stay up for as long as 24 hours, but they’ll only show up for live viewers. They won’t appear for viewers watching a VOD. In other words, chat replay can be seen, but live polls can't be seen.

YouTube live polls limitations

Live polls can:

• only be created from YouTube on your computer.
• have between 2 - 4 options.
• only be seen live. They do not show up in live chat replays.
• only last up to 24 hours.

Moreover, you can host YouTube live chats for different groups of users:

• Anyone
• Subscribers (it is possible to select only subscribers within)
• Members

Note, that you can only host live streams on YouTube if you have more than 1000 subscribers.

I personally don't have experience with YouTube live polls, so can't say if they have higher engagement than other type of content during live streams.

To sum it up

If you have a YouTube channel and are looking for ways to engage your audience, YouTube polls are a great way to do it. By including a question in a poll you can prompt people to interact with you in a different way.

Rather than announcing the results beforehand, you allow people to share your content with their friends, family and other interested parties. The more interaction you generate around your brand, the more exposure and trust you'll receive from potential customers who are looking for something from you online.

I would really recommend to enable Video Chapters at least in your top performing longer videos.

Video Chapters are connected to YouTube timestamps.

Video Chapters break up a video into sections, each with an individual preview. Video chapters add info and context to each portion of the video and let you easily rewatch different parts of the video.

Video Chapters make your videos super convenient to watch for viewers.

Here is a Video with enabled Video Chapters.

Creators can add their own video chapters for each uploaded video or rely on automatic video chapters. Creators can also opt out of automatic video chapters in YouTube Studio.

Here is how Video Chapters look on YouTube desktop.

And on mobile. To see Video Chapters on mobile, you need to scroll to the bottom of the video. Then you will see Chapters menu. From there you can tap VIEW ALL. Or just scroll to the right.

To add your own video chapters:

1. Sign in to YouTube Studio on your computer.
2. Go to the video you want to edit.
3. Select EDIT VIDEO under the video.
4. In the “Description” box of the “Video details” page, add a list of timestamps and titles.

• Make sure that the first timestamp you list starts with 00:00.
• Your video should have at least three timestamps listed in ascending order.
• The minimum length for video chapters is 10 seconds.

So, basically to add Video Chapters you need create a list of timestamps in Video Description.

A lot of creators also add timestamps in comments, but then Video Chapters won't be generated. It still a good idea to duplicate timestamps in description, because majority of viewers engage with YouTube comments, not with descriptions.

To use automatic video chapters:

1. Sign in to YouTube Studio on your computer.
2. Go to the video you want to edit.
3. Select EDIT VIDEO under the video.
4. Click Show More.
5. Make sure the checkbox “Allow automatic chapters (when available and eligible)” is checked. By default, this box will be checked for all new uploads.

Note: Any video chapters entered into the description will override automatic video chapters. Not all videos are eligible for auto generated video chapters, and not all eligible videos will have auto generated video chapters. If the channel has any active strikes, or if the content may be inappropriate to some viewers, the Video Chapters feature won't be available.

To opt out of using automatic video chapters:

To opt out of automatic video chapters for a specific video:

• Make sure the checkbox for "Allow automatic chapters (when available and eligible)" is not checked for that video.

OR

• In the “Description” box of the “Video details” page, add a list of timestamps and titles. Any info entered will override automatic video chapters.

To opt out of automatic video chapters for future uploads:

1. Sign in to YouTube Studio on your computer.
2. Click Settings
3. Click Upload defaults.
4. Click the Advanced settings tab.
5. Make sure the checkbox "Allow automatic chapters (when available and eligible)" is not checked.

YouTube posts or polls eligibility

There are some requirements to create a post or poll on YouTube.

• 1000 subscribers - Creators with over 1,000 subscribers have access to Community posts. It will take up to 1 week to see the Community tab after passing 1,000 subscribers.

That's it. After that you should be able to create YouTube polls or posts. Sometimes, you won't be able to see Community tab because Custom layout is not enabled for your YouTube channel.

Why you can't create posts or polls?

Note: Community posts are turned off if:

• A channel’s audience is set as made for kids.
• You're experiencing YouTube through a supervised account. Learn more about a supervised experience on YouTube.

And therefore you can't create posts or polls.

• Suggested aspect ratio: 1:1 ratio is suggested, because that's how images are shown in the feed. Viewers can see the full image by clicking to expand it.

On mobile devices, you can share videos directly in your Community tab.

When you create a post that shares a video by another creator - that creator will receive a notification.

Community posts about a video already in a viewer’s Subscription or Home feed might not show again.

Click/tap on a poll icon to create a YouTube poll.

Then just go to Community tab in your YouTube channel homepage - note, not in YouTube studio. You will see this tab, from which you can either create a post, image post or poll.

Follow these steps to create a poll on YouTube

1. In studio.youtube.com go to Create in the top right.

2. Click Create post.

3. In the Community tab click Poll icon.

4. Then you can add poll question in the top and poll options (up to 5) in the bottom. Also, poll options can be 65 characters max.

5. Then click Post - to post now. Or click on the arrow to schedule polls in future.

If you choose to add a poll to your post, you’ll be asked to:

1. Enter a question in the text field.
2. Enter answers in the "Add option" fields.
3. If you need more answer fields, click +Add another option and enter the questions and answers.

Note: Poll options can be 65 characters max.

Go to your studio.youtube.com and then Content tab.

Click on Posts in the top. From here you can discover analytics for posts or polls - number of comments, likes, votes (for polls).

YouTube posts and polls tips

You can @mention other channels in your posts or polls.

If viewers have selected to get notifications for channels they're subscribed to, they’ll occasionally get Community post notifications. So, your subscribers can be notified when you create a post or poll. YouTube can also occasionally send post notifications to viewers who are not subscribed but who often watch videos from your channel.

YouTube polls - my experience

In my experience, among YouTube posts and polls - polls are performing much better.

Look at this. I have ~10K subs. My random question "Is #Dispo app cool" - has 291 votes, 14 likes 4 comments. That's quite an engagement!

Or this poll about Clubhouse - 336 votes.

And the compare this with a simple text post - only 4 likes.

But, don't try to use this engagement to push your message or link between poll question and poll itself, like I did here. Then YouTube algorithm drastically drops impressions or users lower the engagement.

💥 YouTube live polls

YouTube polls can be used in livestreams or premieres via YouTube chat. It is a relatively new feature, announced by YouTube on July 14th 2021.

Live polls on YouTube work similarly to polls on other platforms like Twitch.

The first step to doing so is to look at the bottom of the chat on your YouTube channel and select the icon for creating a poll.

Create a live poll

Channel owners can create and manage live polls on their streams and Premieres. Once someone votes, they cannot change it.

1. Schedule or start a live stream or a Premiere.
2. From the bottom of the chat window, tap Create a poll
3. Create your poll, and then select Ask your community.

Once you’ve gotten as many responses as you’d like, you can finish the poll by clicking “end poll.” This option will be visible at the top of your chat.

Viewers can only vote one time per poll and options can’t be changed once they’re submitted.

Polls can stay up for as long as 24 hours, but they’ll only show up for live viewers. They won’t appear for viewers watching a VOD. In other words, chat replay can be seen, but live polls can't be seen.

Limitations

Live polls can:

• only be created from YouTube on your computer.
• have between 2 - 4 options.
• only be seen live. They do not show up in live chat replays.
• only last up to 24 hours.

Moreover, you can host YouTube live chats for different groups of users:

• Anyone
• Subscribers (it is possible to select only subscribers within)
• Members

Note, that you can only host live streams on YouTube if you have more than 1000 subscribers.

To sum it up

YouTube Community tab and Live Polls can be fantastic features to engage with your audience. Especially YouTube polls have insane reply rates - if you use them correctly and add the right questions.

I would definitely recommend you to test YouTube polls and see the traction - can be an amazing way to keep your audience alive and interested in your content.

What are YouTube timestamps?

Timestamps are links to parts of your YouTube video, which can be placed either in YouTube descriptions or comments.

Something like this:

Only you as a creator can add timestamps in descriptions, but all your viewers can add timestamps in the comments.

Why you need YouTube timestamps?

There are many use cases, but basically it saves so much time.

For example, if the video is super long, but you are interested only in a specific part of it - with a time-stamp you can quickly jump to that part of the video.

If there is a cool funny moment in the video usually viewers will leave a timestamp in the comments - so everyone else can jump there.

If you are a creator - you can times-stamp chapters of your video in the comment and then pin that comment to the top.

Uploaded YouTube videos are longer than ever before, and keeping viewers engaged from start to finish can be extremely challenging. Especially in today’s fast-paced environment where many of us aren’t willing, or simply don’t have the time to sit through a 10 to 20 minute video. You can go through your YouTube Analytics and check the average view duration. Very rarely it can exceed 3 minutes.

Adding chapters or timestamps to your YouTube videos provides users the option to skip to relevant parts and therefore you value viewers' time.

Also, timestamps in YouTube are beneficial for SEO. YouTube Video Chapters Enhance The User Experience

When your video is shown in search results, a feature called Key Moments highlights the chapters of your videos. Users can quickly scan these chapters and immediately know what your video is about before they even click on it.

It can be a good idea to timestamp both in YouTube description and comment section - some people prefer descriptions, other - comments.

How to add timestamps in YouTube description?

So, while you uploading your video, just add timestamps in description, for example:

0:25 end

Use this format: hours:minutes:seconds

Actually, it can be a good idea to first upload video and then add timestamps while you are editing it. This way it is much easier to manage timestamps.

I would follow this process with adding timestamps in the video:

• Play your YouTube video and stop it at relevant segments
• Make a note of the time
• Now add these notes and time via the YouTube description area or the comment
• Save and then check the live video and make sure YouTube links now work

Yeah, it can be a tedious process for longer videos...

How to add comment timestamps in YouTube?

After you added timestamps in description - you can copy them to comments.

So, your video should be already uploaded.

1. Log in with your creator account to youtube.com
2. Go to the video comment section and paste timestamps.

3. Press comment. Now your timestamps will appear as links. By clicking on them you will be redirected to the relevant time in the above video.

4. Top tip: pin your comment with timestamps - so it appears in the top.

5. From this menu you can also edit your timestamps - if something changes.

It is also possible to add timestamps in YouTube mobile app.

Timestamps in Description or Pinned Comment - which one is better?

So, where should you add your table of content timestamps - in a comment section (pinned comment) or a description.

I would give a priority to description - this way YouTube can generate Video Chapters (I describe it below).

But, viewers rarely open YouTube descriptions, especially on mobile. Comments have a much higher engagement. So, if you want your timestamps be useful for viewers - leave it in the comments.

Bottom line: I would recommend to leave content timestamps both in the description (to generate Video Chapters) and in the comments - better for users.

YouTube timed comments

YouTube is working on a new feature - YouTube timed comments (beta).

The idea is that you can leave comments only related to a specific timestamp/moment in the video. If you ever used SoundCloud - it is a very similar feature.

Here is how it looks in SoundCloud.

To see if timed comments are available to you, just open YouTube mobile app, go to the comments filter in the top right and look for Timed comments.

How timed comments are connected to YouTube timestamps?

So, if you leave a timestamp in a YouTube comment, then this comment will be filtered in Timed comments section - beta.

By clicking on Timed comments, you will see all the comments about a specific time in the video.

YouTube timestamps and Video Chapters

There is a new exciting feature in YouTube, where you can create Video Chapters, based on your timestamps.

Video Chapters break up a video into sections, each with an individual preview. Video chapters add info and context to each portion of the video and let you easily rewatch different parts of the video. You can view Video Chapters in this example.

Creators can add their own video chapters for each uploaded video or rely on automatic video chapters. Creators can also opt out of automatic video chapters in YouTube Studio.

To add your own video chapters:

1. Sign in to YouTube Studio on your computer.
2. Go to the video you want to edit.
3. Select EDIT VIDEO under the video.
4. In the “Description” box of the “Video details” page, add a list of timestamps and titles.

• Make sure that the first timestamp you list starts with 00:00.
• Your video should have at least three timestamps listed in ascending order.
• The minimum length for video chapters is 10 seconds.

Note, video Chapters will only work with timestamps added in description, not in the comments...

YouTube encourages you to use shorter, descriptive chapter titles, so that viewers can easily get an idea of what the chapter is about.

Once you're finished adding in chapters, save your changes. Now, when you scroll through your video you should see your chapters listed.

Automatic Video Chapters

YouTube can always add automatics Video Chapters, even if there aren't timestamps in your description. But, any video chapters entered into the description will override automatic video chapters.

How to timestamp YouTube URLs?

Another cool feature, is that you can link to a specific timed section of YouTube videos from other sites. It is possible to include links to specific chapter of YouTube video using this format:

If you want to add minutes and seconds, just add 1m22s or add all the time in seconds.

This way you can link to a specific chapter of your YouTube video and save time for your viewers, who are looking for a specific segment.

How to embed YouTube timestamps?

When embedding a YouTube video, it is possible to only embed a specific chapter or timestamp. Again, this way you will show that you care about time and effort of your website visitors, by showing them only super relevant content.

To embed a timestamp, just click Share under the video, then check Start at checkbox and enter a time value, where you want your embed YouTube video to start.

YouTube timestamps and SEO

YouTube timestamps can play a massive role in YouTube SEO. Did you know that a lot of YouTube traffic can come via Search? It can be either YouTube search or Google search.

So, for example, if I search for VidCon 2019, I will see this result in Google Search. YouTube automatically generates key moments.

Of course, if you already added timestamps, key moments will be created on your timestamps.

Therefore, if users are searching for a specific keyword or segment in Google, they won't need to watch the whole video, but just the required part. On the one hand, this can reduce watch time for your videos, but on the other - your video will be shown to much more searches and users. Also, you will build trust for viewers as a high quality source of content, which cares about time.

Bottom line: adding YouTube timestamps will increase visibility and engagement of your YouTube video in Google Search results.

How to get a YouTube channel ID?

You can see your channel's user and channel IDs in your advanced account settings on a computer or mobile browser.

You don't need to log in to YouTube Studio to get a YouTube channel ID.

1. Sign in to YouTube - just to the main website, not a Studio.
2. In the top right, click your profile picture -> Settings.
3. From the left menu, select Advanced settings.

4. You’ll see your channel’s user and channel IDs.

From here you can copy it.

How to get a YouTube User ID?

1. Sign in to YouTube - just to the main website, not a Studio.

Why do you need YouTube Channel or User IDs?

Is it possible to change YouTube channel or user IDs?

No. As far as I know it is not possible.

I'm testing it with motivately.substack.com - inspiration newsletter with everyday quotes to improve your life.

But, there are a lot of arguments, that Substack is not customizable at all. Also, you don't own your content, etc, etc. That is true and you should probably consider Ghost or Wordpress.

Still here is a workaround on how to make your Substack a bit more customizable. Today I have found out how to insert HTML code in Substack. There is no native tab or feature in Substack to insert custom HTML field.

But, you can do it via Google Tag Manager.

Create a free account in Google Tag Manager

Go to https://tagmanager.google.com/

Click Create Account in the top right.

Give Account Name, Container name and select Web. Click Create.

Get your Google Tag Manager ID - in the top bar of the screen. It should start with GTM-

Install Google Tag Manager in Substack

Go to Substack Settings.

Go to Advertising Analytics section and install your Google Tag Manager via ID.

Create a Custom HTML tag in Google Tag Manager

Create a new tag in Google Tag manager - Custom HTML.

Via this tag you can insert any HTML snippets.

And set a trigger to All Page Views.

Voila! Now you have any custom HTML code in your Substack publication.
